Undead

Entombed are ferocious undead creatures that have the appearance of being composed of multiple corpses, with stitches all over their foul, greenish bodies. They fight with their bare hands, the only weapon they need, but they have a strange magic in their eyes that makes those that look upon them freeze up, unable to move.

This icy statue stands a head taller than a normal human. A rime of frost coats it, and razor-sharp shards of ice adorn its limbs. The ice golem is a humanoid formed of roughly chiselled ice, standing 10 feet tall and weighing around 800 pounds. Ice golems at rest appear to be normal ice sculptures and are often mistaken as such, but a DC 15 Wisdom (Perception) check will notice that the creature is alive. An ice golem usually opens combat with its breath weapon. An ice golem never uses weapons or wears armour, preferring to attack with its powerful fists.

This humanoid has deeply wrinkled, leathery skin and hollow, sunken eyes. They are clad in furs and other heavy clothing. The sacrifice of sentient beings is a common religious practice, and in icy lands, such sacrifices are often conducted via exposure. A humanoid slain in this manner may rise as an icegaunt, sometimes called a frost mummy. Such creatures look almost as they did in life, as they are freeze-dried, but their lack of visible breath or shivering can give them away to the observant.

Marzanna appear as a wrinkled old crone with blue-white skin and snow white hair, wielding a gnarled staff, and speaking with the howling of the winter winds. They prey on lone travelers, freezing them solid and then snapping off pieces of them to snack on.

Qorrash are elemental creatures native to the Plane of Air. They have blue skin, which is always covered in thick frost, because a perpetual aura of bitter cold alway emanates from their bodies. They have white hair. Males are often bald and sported fancy goatees; females wear their hair long. A typical qorrashi stands over ten feet (300 centimeters) tall and weighs about half a ton.

This green eyed spirit appears ragged and worn, as if its incorporeal form was being torn away into shreds. A halo of glowing symbols surrounds it, each pulsing with malign energy. Quells are created from the souls of antitheists, those who hate the gods and work to spite them. Such is the hatred of these bitter souls that they reject damnation and linger in the material world to continue their cruel work. The symbols that float around a quell’s head are icons of the most common deities in the region the quell haunts, broken, inverted or otherwise desecrated.

Kin to the giant spider, the snow spider is wreathed in snowy white fur. These spiders dwell in icy tunnels lined with dense, calcified webbing. Snow spiders set lengthy lines of hard webbing across their lair and in the surrounding area. Blending into the environment, these lines act as signals to the snow spider.

Spectral lyrists are created from the spirits of malicious entertainers who used their gifts to spread slander and ruin lives. Unlike most incorporeal undead, they appear to be solid and can easily beguile the foolish with their good looks, silver tongues and magical music. They enjoy twisting the minds of mortals, enticing them to commit acts of cruelty and violence.

A clot of mist flows forth like a living thing, its shape contorted into a grimacing visage. Two tendrils grow from its center like clutching arms. Said by some sages to be the living embodiment of the last breaths of a dying fiend, voidwraiths are wicked elementals composed of equal parts air and negative energy. They are not nearly as solid as most air elementals, but use this fluidity to creep unawares into even the most tightly defended areas to feed on the breath of the living.
