Hells Damage

This page gives information on the best damage types to inflict on Hells creatures. This is primarily useful for AA's, but can also be used by casters or tanks. This Hells Damage Sheet is a condensed version of the information on this page that can be printed out and kept in front of you during runs for easy reference. The table features damage weaknesses, healing damage type and crit immunity for all the main hell enemies.

The first section focuses on elemental damage and will be most useful for AAs.

Most monsters and especially bosses in the Hells will be most vulnerable to physical damage. Strength monks, Strength tanks, and shifters using manticore form are especially effective. However, focused application of the right elemental damage from an AA can be brutally effective on many monsters and can often be used in places manticores cannot work. Divine damage is also widely effective though not universally so.

Some monsters cause kickback to the hitter. This means one should keep adequate protection up, especially shifters spiking. Some monsters do area kickback, meaning everyone in the party will take damage. Most parties will get upset if you hit them too often. Many of the area kickback monsters also have a way of adding vulnerability to their element.

Note: There is no information specific to Nessus on this page. You will have to discuss that with your party or find out on your own.
