Description: You create an aura that steals energy from your enemies. Your enemies suffer a -2 circumstance penalty on saves, attack rolls, and damage rolls, once entering the aura. On casting, you gain a +2 circumstance bonus to your saves, attack rolls, and damage rolls. At caster level 40, saving throw bonuses and penalties increase to 3, at caster level 50, they increase further to 4, and at caster level 60, they increase to 5. When cast by a legendary Cleric with at least 40 base Str and no quasiclass, the radius increases to Huge and the caster receives bonus damage on-hit equal to the other bonuses. In addition, any SP bonus received from feats is replaced by (Str modifier / 2), if the Str-based value would be greater.
Notes
The penalty to damage rolls only reduces magical damage. If the affected creature does not deal magical damage in its attacks, there will be no change to the damage dealt.
The bonus to attack provided by this spell counts towards the +20 attack bonus cap.
Hostile creatures entering the aura get a will saving throw to resist the penalty. This penalty is removed upon exiting the aura.
Use !cancel 517 if you need to stop Battletide so that you can use Greater Sanctuary without it being insta cancelled due to proximity with enemies.
