Description: You grant a slashing weapon a +3 enhancement bonus. If targeted on a creature, the spell will enchant the weapon in the primary hand of the target.

At caster level 20, the enhancement bonus increases to +6 and keen is added. At caster level 40, the enhancement bonus increases to +12 and +1 point vampiric regeneration per 4 caster levels is added. Enhancement bonus is increased by +1, if the caster has Greater Spell Focus Enchantment, and another +1, if the Caster has Legendary Spell Focus Enchantment. Also affects bludgeoning and piercing weapons, if the caster has Greater Spell Focus Transmutation.

At caster level 20, if cast on the Ranger's own weapon, this spell will add 1 die of Positive damage against favored enemies, increasing to 2 dice at caster level 31, 3 dice at caster level 41, and 4 dice at caster level 51. This damage can be enabled or disabled with the !damoff and !damon commands. If the caster is not wielding the weapon when the spell is cast, the damage must be explicitly enabled with the !damon chat command after the weapon is equipped.

When cast by a Lash of Hatred on a whip he is wielding, the spell imbues the whip with the Touch of the Lash.

The additional damage done by Touch of the Lash is Negative damage instead of positive, and is 2 dice higher than the normal Ranger bonus damage.

A whip imbued with the Touch of the Lash inflicts up to 5% damage vulnerability to all physical and elemental sources on hit when striking a favored enemy, to a maximum of (2 + Blackguard level)%. If the Lash has the Bane of Enemies feat, the limit increases a further 5%. In addition, when striking a favored enemy, it inflicts a -2 Discipline penalty for 2 rounds. The vampiric regeneration from Blade Thirst becomes on-hit for an imbued whip.

Notes

Bite and claw items cannot be targeted by this spell (but any other standard slashing melee weapon used as a natural weapon can be, if the spell is cast on the creature).
