Druid's Grove

This is technically a sub area of the The Dead Wood although there are no enemies here, any characters with enough Druid or Ranger levels who go through the arch to the tree will be given a stone that allows them to summon a pet specific to their class mix with abilities which increase with character level.
There are also creatures that can be dominated and used as pets through the Animal Empathy skill, these creatures vary in power and abilities with the most powerful requiring a higher level of the skill to dominate successfully.
The merchant in this area, Shulig of the Bow, sells, amongst other items, 10 packs of Haste potions which are useful for low level characters and will save you buying them individually from the Wondrous Items shop.
