Talk:Bestiary: Elysium
From HGWiki
Note that gaze attacks such as basilisk death gaze, and medusa/druid aoe stoning are reflected by silver dragons (all types) and provoke saves against the party members.
Silver dragons of all types are wierdable, however the greater spell mantles of the sorcerors must be overcome or dispelled before they can be wierded. Silver dragon sorcerors' Cone of Cold spell causes cold infliction and can do tremendous damage.
Ursinals are similar to raja in that they have powerful spell mantles and are immune to most spells. They can be neutralized by mording and using bigby 9. Note that Greater Thunderclaps used by ursinals cause sonic infliction.
The caster level of the enemies is in fact only level 60.
Deathless Priestesses use the divine HG epic spells Annihilation (causing divine infliction and massive divine damage as well as blindness), and Instruments of Faith. The implosions they spam are at DC60.
Astral Devas' silence ability can be stopped by using an item with Spell Immunity: Silence, such as off the augmenter "of the Diva", or the Logos shield from Aboleths (or by Immunity: Silence from a silence ring).
Movanic Devas do 80 positive damage in personal kickback.
Prismatic Golems have 100 base sr which provides very high defense against most spells, however they are vulnerable to crumble or stoneshatter.
Deathless of all types heal on positive damage, and are immune to greater ruin, so should not be targeted with greater ruins.
Deathless Paladins do 80 divine personal kickback.
Deathless slingers Breach, not mord.
Elysian Carillions and Waterspouts should be wierded immediately due to their party kb. Elysian Thrushes should also be wierded as they are like kocrachons and heal the enemy mobs, including themselves; this makes large groups of thrushes very hard to damage kill.
Leonals also have a Discipline check versus Shredding robes or light armor. Many robe wearing casters choose to go without robes for the first two maps in order to avoid this possibility.--Jeanhelix 09:50, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Lots of good info, thanks. I will add all of this info and make relevant corrections. One correction however: Prismatic Golems have specific spell immunity to Crumble, as seen in KV output.--Trazik 12:44, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
I didn't know that; I'd thought I'd managed to crumble one before. I stand corrected. Also you should modify the planetar description. The amount of mobs they summon is actually 1-6 from my observations.--Jeanhelix 13:38, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Solars are considered minibosses (at least by some people). I defer to people like Acaos & Yomi with regards to which mobs may/should/are-permitted-to-be posted in Bestiaries. I know Funky has stated that they (the HG Admin) do not police content on the Wiki, but I also note that bosses, minibosses and mobs unique to certain maps (The Serpent's Coil, for example) are not included in any Bestiary.
I wish to keep myself out of such a potentially political discussion and will concern myself only with adding content (spoilers -- that's what this all is, essentially) that is both useful and allowable. Feel free to discuss it on HG Forums though.--Trazik 13:51, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
Ah, understandable, I edited out the data regarding them in respect with that. I added some comments with useful data to the aboleth bestiary talk section also.--Jeanhelix 14:50, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
