Description: Casting this spell on a quarterstaff will do the following:

  • Gives it a +4 enhancement bonus. At caster level 21, this changes to +1 per 3 caster levels, reaching +20 at level 60.
  • On striking a creature, dispel magic is cast on the target.

The spell will not work on any other weapon than a quarterstaff.

Staffmasters cast a special, extended version of the Blackstaff spell. Instead of a dispel magic effect, the Staffmaster gets access to bonus damage equal to 1d6 +1 per Weapon Master level (including LL). Initially, the damage added is Fire damage. As the character gains Weapon Master levels, additional damage types become available:

NOTE: The properties created on the weapon will look a little strange, because some changes had to be made to allow all on-hit damage effects to work together. The weapon affected will always say it has a level 1 intelligent weapon and 1 point of Bludgeoning damage added, but the actual effects are as described above.
