Dragon Blood

Open subrace characters can drink a vial of dragon blood for one of two effects. The blood has to be from one of these dragons: the Mother of all Dragons, Uroboros (see Uroboros Peak), Ssssy'is (see Ssithrak Dimension) and Dach'xilith'az'ichityl (see Maze of the Ancients). The effect is determined by your subrace and/or the type of blood as follows:
- If your subrace is Azer or Drider, your elemental vulnerability is reduced from 50% to 10%.
- If your subrace is Troll, your elemental vulnerabilities are reduced from 75% to 20%.
- If your subrace is any Half-Dragon, your elemental vulnerability is reduced from 150% to 25%.
- If your subrace is not any of the above but is an open subrace, you'll get a free feat based on the type of blood:
- Ancient Dragon Blood (MoaD) gives Alertness.
- Blood of Uroboros gives Cleave.
- Blood of Dach'xilith'az'ichityl gives Dodge.
- Blood of Ssssy'is gives Combat Casting.
The blood is not used up (consumed) in this process, which makes sense as 5.5 lbs of blood is approximately 2.4 litres (with the wild assumption that dragon blood has the same density as human blood).
Note that blood (apart from Uroboros) can also be used to get secret subraces and in this case it will be consumed by the process.
